Since freeasabeer cut me to the chase with this post, I thought I'd just rename this thread to the only original offering I had previously: Bash 4.1. Enjoy!

It looks like this is a compile of bash that can be run from a shell, not an "app" in the "Android app" sense of something that you install and run from the UI? I'm happy with it being the former, just wanted to clarify.

Thanks for supplying the port! As there was no related comment, I am guessing you may not have modified the source to use a different default location to find .bashrc and .bash_profile. Is there a place to save the startup files so they are always loaded by default? I noticed others attempting the port in the past have all used different places, like /sdcard, etc.
