JC2 was the latest official rom release for Hong Kong Omnia2 users with Traditional Chinese/ English languages.

The JA5 here release yesterday 03/30, was the latest official rom for Singapore Omnia2 users with multiple Europe languages.

Hi, I'm d/ling your ROM as I have problem with the Lite ones for setting up my MMS but the JA5 means (J)2010 (A)Jan (5)rev.5 the Secany's last one (JB3) 2010 Feb rev.3 and now the JC2 2010 Mar rev.2. :P

You mean Samsung reposting the same ROM around the World with small changes in the language??? :(

BTW its 6.5 or 6.5.5?

Thank you in advance B) :(

Terry666,

No, not only Samsung, it's the same for other brand too WM devices too.

Basically, they're customize the rom for different country as some of them uses different language/dictionary, operator network settings, inputs and etc. Furthermore, in order for a new firmware to release for that particular country usage, they need to submit it to that country telecommunication dept to review & approve the contents in it. It's all about nation security issue.

It look like Samsung Singapore Branch quite happy about the last IJ9 rom since last Nov 2009.

They took quite a while to release another new rom, a not so new WM6.5 rom. B) :o

This is an official rom for all Omnia2 in or purchased from Singapore, so you shouldn't be worried about that. :P

Any review of Official ROM? eg vs secany semiofficial and the latest JC2, if it has OmniaPro "Samsung Today"?

Hi, except the version number (which can be easily modified by the ROM owner), how do we ensure this is an official ROM? Is this ROM safe? If the owner of the ROM has embedded spyware/virus, how do we detect it?
