    • Reminder: Selling items on the forum directly is not allowed   07/30/15

Please note that selling items on the forum directly is not allowed by the forum rules. There is a forum for eBay auctions whereby you can list the items on eBay and link to them there. This is the ONLY forum for this type of activity. You may also advertise links to the eBay forum in your signature. Please note that selling directly in contravention of these rules will result in a warning / suspension / ban.

In the last week over at the Pulse forum we have been having problems with a lot of new members not following the rules and creating new posts for every single little issue they have, instead of posting them in the few problem threads we have. A few of these noobs are constantly whining and moaning and annoying many of the long term forum posters. If we had some moderators then we could move posts about and issue warnings for not using the search etc, but we don't have any.

It seems to me that Paul is the only admin on this forum (if there are others, I haven't see them) and he very rarely comes into the Pulse forum.

So please could we have some moderators in the forum?

I am actually one of the most active staff members but I do not post that much anymore and generally live on the Windows side of the site.

There are a few Android mods about but there is no reason to give warnings to people who create topics instead of searching.

This has always been a problem and is normal with the casual visitor an no amount of moanings or warnings will ever fix this, instead it will only deter people from taking part in the site.

Keep the site friendly and help rather than moan which is something thankfully you are doing, it's what the moderators are instructed to do.

If you would like to become a mod send me a pm. Remember though warnings are for piracy flamming etc and not for realising what a search button is for.

@awarner: what exactly do you have to do as a forum admin?

I'm nearly online 24/7 on the Pulse forum

Best regards,

Most of my time is spent clearing out the spam related issuses and member issues. I used to be on 24/7 but work and running a scout group started to get in the way.

You can also report specific posts by clicking the report button under the user information of each post. Unfortunately too many people use this to ask questions etc rather than to actually report an issue with the post in question.

As I have mentioned above if you would like to help out and moderate a specific section let me know.

Yeah I'd indeed like to help out in the Pulse and maybe the Pulse Mini section, if that's possible.

Best regards,

BB
