Wireless tether

Hey all, can anyone confirm whether wireless tether works on rooted Pulse mini?

Many thanks

It works on root:ed U8100 for sure... But there are a lot less netfilter options turned on in the pulse mini kernel so there may be something missing that tethering needs.

I've used the pre8 version from this page: http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/downloads/list

Cool, thanks.

Thinking of buying one of these for my Girlfriend but both wireless and wired tether are a must. If either doesn't work then I will have to look at something else.

I've tried and managed to get a connection using Barnacle Legacy (the older version). This will allow my Ipad to receive Email but not send. Also I get an error message and the link drops when I try to access websites. So basically, no it doesn't work, which is very annoying as I bought the phone specifically for tethering.

I've only got experience from this project: http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/

And as I said, before, it works on the U8100 but the pulse mini kernel does not have this option enabled:

CONFIG_NETFILTER_XT_MATCH_STATE=y

The U8100 and U8120 kernel however does and the ancroid-wifi-tether needs this.

So I suppose other wifi tethering solutions may also need this in the kernel? And if they do then they will fail on pulse mini (with the default kernel).
