Anyone using Liquid E tried?

Just saw that on the website from Taiwan, sounds like it improves the performance from the Kernel ;)

I don't have a liquid e (mine is an A1) and I use GEN1 rom.. but it seems looking inside the update.zip file they have patched acer apks (contacts, launcher), boot.img, and the framework jars.

It could be nice to see if they have fixed the rating stars issue on market.

Humm.. this patch rewrites recovery, boot, some system like framework..

Seems that patch is the missing part of our 2.1 kernel..

so sources are on the way.

I have modified the update script to only install new boot.img + new dhd.ko module. It worked well on my liquid a1 (running custom rogers rom). Should work on any acer based 2.2 roms I think. But I cant guarantee ;) use at own risk.

I did not do any performance test before and after, maybe someone else can do that :) Cant say I see any difference, but I did not expect that.

Guys, just had a test on it. :)

There are improvements, but not much you can feel, so I just give out some score to compare ;)

Just a reference. :D

EDIT: I don't know why my Quadrant Marks are always lower than other people here, strange...

it's to do with the mbn files in the first boot.zip. I don't know what to do with it though, I'm no computer scientist yet.

This kind of MBN file extension is used as a Sony Ericsson mainware file, sounds familiar ;)

I lied. It's patches for each. I'm betting something like an android equivalent of a .diff file?

I'll look at it.

Hi koudelka, could it damage the hardware of a1? That kernel is compiled for LiquidE...

No the worst that can happen is that you device don't boot but if that happen just launch recovery and flash another rom.
