Hi kokokranc,

Maybe you can try this. Under the "# Additional_build_properties" there is also a "media.stagefright.enable-player=false". I've set mine to "true".

My Quadrant score average is 950.

If still cannot work, maybe you should flash back to CSL rom and test it out.

ok.

i have reset the device back to factory state. will perform step by step tonight. now cannot because forgot to bring my cable to work lol

getting to that score is one thing. but User Experience is another thing.

does your device feel snappier and faster than before modding?

something is wrong with the flash_image file or your device. redownloading flash_image and try again.

it feels snappier. i used to have a little lag while typing or when scrolling

through the apps. this is gone. So yes i am happy with this.

i just did the test with setcpu and swappper2 uninstalled and got a score of 750,

the device feels the same as with both installed and active.

big difference with my galaxy s phone. its score was 1170 and it completed the test

about 15 seconds faster.

My tablet is the viewsonic viewpad 7, before this i had the 10 inch vega but i find the wide screen

to large to handle while sitting on the couch and surfing, typing is only possible while holding it in one

hand and type with the other or by putting the device down. The screens viewing angle was horrible. it was fast though.

I also had the ipad but that gets to heavy when you hold it for a while.

This 7 inch tablet is just perfect now :-) ( except for the soft buttons, i cant find them in the evening, always guessing :-)

i just noticed the "media.stagefright.enable-player=false" is wayyyyy down the build.prop file (2 lines, true and false, so i guess android took the last value in the build.prop file). i deleted the line, restart and voila! it feels awsummmmm!

no more lags when typing and scrolling (unless i scroll crazily lol).

just tested quadrant and the test is 7xxish. any idea to bump to 800-900?

This is what i have been telling you about in my earlier posts. Read them again to see what i have done.

What is your CPU score? Mine is around 3100. Quadrant score is also influenced by the I/O output. I think this is related to the SD card. Try a faster SD card.

insert this line _after_ last line in build.prop :

media.stagefright.enable-player=true

quadrant ~ 770 but.. standart player work incorrectly..

i didn't flash or anything,

but i follow your instruction to insert media.stagefright.enable-player=true

in the last line

and now my quadrant is average 880 - 950..... wow

but what 's different with my standart quadrant 370-450 ?

i didn't see a different

clock is 600 , can not set more than 600 with cpuset

however,

http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...41/stagefright/

lol i think its the bug that bumped the quadrant score. nevertheless, i do feel the difference =)

Interesting thread that one ... I feel that the CPU is the major downside of this device .. so the O/C is the best improvement, so well done TJ despite the fact that the Quadrant score is possibly a little over-hyped!

Thanks

No, i didn't tweak it. I just set the swap to use 200MB of my SD Card Memory using Swapper Configuration App. Got 823 in Quadrant and 876 in Antutu. SD Card Speed Class is quite influential. I used a cheap one though :D

Good figures! ... I got up to 755 with swapper enabled 32mb/10swapiness

Did you tweak the swap in any way to get that figure, or do you think is it just h/w variance!

Edit: Just trying now with the correct version of Swapper For Root

All the best

Anyone up to Gingerbread? :(

Have you definitely got the file named 'fm6_boot_v1.2.img' and is it sitting in the root of the SDcard, not inside a folder?

EDIT: Also .. have you definitely got flash_image in /system/bin?
