Just rename the .php downloaded file in .zip and save ( astro is the simplest way ), than put it in the root of your sd, after reboot in recovery and flash without sign check.

The easiest, the simplest, the safer.

I told in another thread that 4.002.14 was the best Acer .bin ever for our liquid.

SPB television player running , Angry Birds playing from sd card. Everything OK.

Edit Tried a nandroid and got the msg. RUN VIA CONSOLE. Restored with Titanium all apps on phone ( 20 mb free ram) , this time nandroid worked, applied a2sd via Malez but I got bootloop, so this kernel is not for a2sd via recovery, will try the app mentioned earlier in this thread.

Just use Link2SD - works on every kernel.

This program is actually very good. Thanx for recommending it - I just have one problem LOL I have so many programs installed via app2sd that I cant move them back to the phone :) . the scripts generated will break my apps. :P Too bad. Maybe Ill try this next format. Till then, this is a good program.

I don't use Apps2sd, and fear_factory84 already repack one for his rom.

Maybe you can try it :)

Thanks rithchen, but I already re-packed it myself, just need to try it now :)

Hello, BT for me works. Installed two apps like ROUTER KEYGEN and now wifi doesn't connects automatically but needs at least two SCAN commads. Don't know if this behavior is kernel related.

Regards

Why should I try LS app if there's an option in Android settings? And LS setting is forgotten on reboot.

Only with the acer-stock roms, because the ramdisk does not call the auto start script

Hey ritchen can i ask u some questions?

have u added to the chocolate kernel some patch and improvements taken from the acer sources?( Like prox sensor, and light sensor)

can u recompile it for the cm7 and miui?

how can i unpack the ramdisk to ur kernel, edit it and repack?

The prox & light sensor driver is depended by the rom you use.

And roggin just update chocolate's sensor driver, i think it will be fix in the new CM7 release.

About unpack & repack kernel with ramdisk, i will add it in my tutorial thread.

Wonderful work! Many thanks for author.

By the way, a problem with deadzone on touch was resolved by using this kernel (for my case).

Thanks again!

I know that, thepasto told me.. perhaps me and gnufabio are trying to maintain a fork of thepasto tree targeted to acer roms, it would be very nice to not duplicate our efforts.

See https://github.com/gnufabio/acer_liquid_chocolate

sorry if you understood my post as an attack. It was only an invitation to collaborate together.

It's ok.

But I am very busy with my work.

So i just focus on the bugs fix.

If i fix any bug, i will contribute to our community. (just like usb tether & voice input) XD

when you will have some time could you please check if we have something different than your tree?

A diff -r against our tree should be fine. We will figure out differences by ourself...
