Three (UK) have just started offering this as £150 pay as you go which seems like a good price for an up to date QWERTY phone. Just found it when looking for android phones for my less techy mum who wants a physical keyboard.

Do you reckon this phone will start getting supported by aftermarket developers etc?

I got this phone today and managed to root it (possibly the first Samsung Galaxy Pro rooting guide on the net :( even if it is quite a generic process)

Here's the guide I made. Now there's not much I can do now as there's no clockworkmod or ROMS but at least I can uninstall the bloatware that came with it :)

BTW if you buy it from 3 it comes preunlocked :) only thing I want to get rid of now is the 3 Mobile UK splash screen on startup but for that I think I need a new ROM :/

I've had one for a few weeks now and I'm loving it. It would be good if we could have a community developed ROM or something like that.

It's a great phone, the only downside in my opinion is the lower resolution screen (LQVGA).

mmm odd! I went into the shop and they said it would be fifteen quid to unlock it, but doing it through them wouldn't invalidate the guarantee.

I'm thinking of getting one, but can't find a case for it.
