Trying to uninstall forces reboot

Hello.

My GT540 forces a reboot whenever I try to uninstall an app. On the same hand I can't update or install apps, even with about 18MB free.

I got a normal 2.1-update1 version of Android, which I just rooted to use Barnacle.

Can anyone help me out here why it forces the reboot?
