if your objective is to upgrade to gb you can choose any of the ftf files posted, really doesn´t matter.

or simpler is download the gingerbread version also posted there.

note: i´ve created a thread here at MoDaCo after reading your difficulties HERE.

if you install the gb version at that same thread you´ll find a how-to root by DooMLoRD

Bro, my current objective is to fix my prob i.e fix bootloop + mount sdcard in xrec. I am ready to use any ROM, just my both prob should get fixed.....

Thanks

like i said any will do the job.

but if you want to install gb at the final doesn´t make any sense install 2.1 and then 2.3 does it? just install 2.3. period laugh.gif and then follow how to root if you want that wink.gif

Hey rendeiro, thishappened to me a few times before, so what u do is either use seus to replace your fw to stock and/or use flashtool and use a ftf file so its just like flashing a rom. Turn phone off and hold back button and flash a generic fw.

Yap that's correct but with flashtool you had the advantage to choose your firmware (i.e. X10a still dont have gb still thanks to this tool people manage to install it) and every other advantages in just one tool.

Cheers

R

Hi,

Ok so I have a problem. My boyfriend gave me an Xperia X10 phone and it was rooted and everything, but... I factory reseted it because I couldn't delete his Gmail account (I know that was stupid but I did it :/).

I then downloaded a MIUI Rom and installed it with the Zip file thanks to the XRecovery (when you press Delete at boot).

I don't like the Rom very much but I decided to keep it until I realised I couldn't send nor receive SMS. The camera wasn't working either and I couldn't use apps such as Titanium because... My phone was NOT rooted!! :o

Now I don't understand how that happened since I have the Superuser app installed and I can enter the Xrecovery mode.

I've tried every single tutorial on the internet, downloaded SuperOneClick and Zergrush... It gets stuck at Daemon something...

Seriously I don't know what to do because I don't even know in which situation I am (rooted? non rooted? half-rooted?).

If someone could help me I'd be VERY glad... :/

Thanks
