Meego on wildfire

Hi all.

I have created this topic to get some focus on porting the Meego distro to the HTC Wildfire.

There are some interesting articles out there for those of you inspired to get this to work, at the moment i am reeding the Linux From Scratch book (http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/) to get some info about the basics of linux distributions (I am a keen user of pre-made distro´s like Debian, Fedora, Ubuntu and openSuse, and therefore I have never attempted to build my own).

There are some more info on how to build Meego for ARM devices (Wildire has an ARMv6 processor), like these:

http://wiki.meego.com/ARM/Meego_on_Beagleboard_from_scratch //ARMv7 arhitecture

http://wiki.meego.com/ARM/MSMQSD // ARMv6 / ARMv7 architecture build of Meego with MSM/QSD Processor(I believe that this actually could work on the wildfire with some tweeking)

http://forum.meego.com/showthread.php?t=2414 //General info page on porting Meego

http://www.android-devs.com/?p=152 // Guide to porting Debian to the Samsung Nexus S

http://developer.htc.com/ // HTC Developer center with the WILDFIRE KERNEL SOURCE

Now even after reading the LFS book i am still in doubt about the drivers, so i believe the right thing to do would either be to use the guide: http://wiki.meego.com/ARM/MSMQSD to try and port meego to the wildfire with the ARMv6 architecture and a Qualcomm MSM7225 processor

The biggest problem could be that the wildfire may not be fast enough to run the raphics of meego, since it has no GPU, and since the CPU is quite weak.

Anyways, ill keep you all posted on my little project here.

Please feel free to ask anything, or even join the project  Any help will be greately appreciated..
