Samsung Galaxy S II DXKI2 (Gingerbread v2.3.4) system/app and system/framework files deodexed and zipaligned.

This also includes an expanded power menu (see image below).

You can get the deodexed DXKI2 files from here: DXKI2 Files

This is for people who want deodexed files but want to keep their stock look and feel.

Changes:

- no power menu title

- no power off confirm dialog

- reboot, recovery & download options added

- system/app & system/framework files deodexed

PLEASE READ EVERYTHING IN THIS POST BEFORE INSTALLING.

This is NOT a complete ROM.

Assumes you have rooted your phone.

post-557795-0-04465800-1316760240_thumb.

MAKE A BACKUP BEFORE YOU START IN CASE SOMETHING GOES WRONG. VERY IMPORTANT!

1. Download the DXKI2 ki2update.zip file (This is a CWM version - requires Clockwork Mod to install)

2. copy the ki2update.zip file to your sdcard (you can use adb do do this)

3. reboot your phone into recovery (CWM recovery)

4. install using CWM recovery

5. when finished reboot phone

After the reboot it could take 2-3 minutes for the phone to completely boot as it has to refresh the dalvik cache. Have some patience at this point.

Please provide feedback as I have done extensive testing with this and have had no problems.

***For those of you who are having problems with KK5 that prevents it from connecting to enterprise (EAP\EAS) networks. There is a replacement wpa_supplicant file in this post on XDA that fixes the issue in most cases. Thanks to stevenz@modaco for letting me know about this.

8. do a factory reset

9. reboot

After the reboot it could take 2-3 minutes for the phone to completely boot as it has to refresh the dalvik cache. Have some patience at this point.

If the phone won't get past the android bootanimation, power the phone off (hold the powere button til it goes off) and power back up.

NOTE: You should always do a factory reset after flashing or installing a new rom. You can do this from recovery. Having said that, if you decide to do a factory reset you will lose the QuickPanelSettings.apk and the Nexus Prime bootanimation. You need to do this if haptic feedback does not work. Do this BEFORE restoring your old data.

If you have issues with the KL1 Modem, use the attached CWM-Flashable zipfile to install the BOKJ1 Modem.

BOKJ1_MODEM.zip

Please provide feedback as I have done extensive testing with this and have had no problems.

8. after you get to the homescreen, reboot into recovery

9. do a factory reset

10. reboot

After the reboot it could take 2-3 minutes for the phone to completely boot as it has to refresh the dalvik cache. Have some patience at this point.

If the phone won't get past the bootanimation, power the phone off (hold the power button til it goes off) and power back up.

NOTE: You should always do a factory reset after flashing or installing a new rom. You can do this from recovery. Do this BEFORE restoring your old data.

Please provide feedback as I have done extensive testing with this and have had no problems.
