Skype with video on the OMC/Skate: has anyone got it working?

It's been done on many other handsets, with the same hardware...

I wasn't so much referring to if Skype video would run. I was referring to the need to constantly keep spinning the phone around.

Has anyone had any luck with this?

The new version of Skype seems to allow video on unsupported devices but not on the OMC.

My Asus eee pad is an unsupported device but with the new version video now works.

It is as if the version that you get from the market for the OMC does not have video support.

Would there be a way to get a version where video is supported or is it not as simple as that?

Would be nice to have even with only a rear camera, could use to show people things etc

There is a modified version of Skype here:

http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1148708

It claims to 'force' Video and also fixes the use of speaker issue. I haven't actually tried it myself so can't confirm if it works. But it's probaly worth trying.

Update:

Ok so I thought I'd actually try it myself. It does force the sound onto the correct speaker, but it can neither send nor recieve video :(

Oh well maybe in some future build...
