Why do I do this???

Thought I would try CM7 as per Pauls kitchen, after a reasonably good experience with GR4

Booted into recover, wiped/factory reset, wiped cache & dalvic just in case

flashed MCr CM7

bootloop

wouldnt boot into recover, just booted into the LG logo (with blue background it has when going into recovery)

So reverted to NV Flash

and now my problems begin....

it wont flash the system.img

had all night tring to get it past loading fastboot... kept stopping 1/2 way, but after 4hrs without battery went as far as this;

C:\lgp990-stock\2x-v10b-1300166062-nvflash>.\nvflash.exe --bct E1108_Hynix_512MB

_H8TBR00U0MLR-0DM_300MHz_final_emmc_x8.bct --setbct --odmdata 0xC8000 --configfi

le android_fastboot_emmc_full.cfg --create --bl fastboot.bin --go

First, re-download the NVFlash package from here (Modaco) as I know that one works. Once you have done that, make sure you are flashing with the cable that came with your phone. Any other Micro-USB cable will not carry sufficient power causing exactly this kind of thing to happen during an NVFlash.

This is because the battery has to be removed for this. The USB cable that came with the o2x should do though!

If you are still having trouble, it might be worth trying to flash nothing to the system partition and clockworkmod to the recovery. This will at least get you into clockworkmod to install a workable ROM. If you don't know how to do this I can upload a modified NVFlash config file later.

Good luck!

I cannot thank you enough, exactly correct, changed my Blackberry usb for the LG one and bingo!!! If Paul could add that note to the original thread, I am sure it would help dingbats like me in the future.

Many thanks again.... just heard the phone startup and now working again.... Froyo I know but that's better than a black screen.

Regards

Steve
