Rooted System Partition [Here]

Instructions

  • Download and extract the Flash Tools
  • Download and extract the Rooted System Partition
  • Load up the Flash tools
  • Tick only parameter and system
  • Click the ... button and choose both the parameter and system-rooted.img accordingly
  • Turn off the Andypad and unplug the USB
  • Hold down the Volume + whilst plugging in the USB to your computer
  • At this point you may need to install the drivers in the Flash Tools archive
  • If all is OK the Flash Tool should say "Found RKAndroid Loader Rock Usb"
  • Click Run
  • Once flashed it will return you the "Charging..." screen
  • Power on and boot (It could take some time for first boot)

    Notes

    • The filesystem is still cramfs so it will fail any binary updating attempts
    • I take no responsibility if you brick your Device etc etc blah blah

Silly question since it will be my first time flashing the andypad. I assume that the flash tools is to be installed on laptop and that pluggging/unplug USB refers to connecting the andypad to the laptop. Or am i totally wrong?

Correct yes, they are windows tools.

Thanks a lot for this

EDIT: I'm getting a lot of Google Services Framework FCs but that might be because of the mess I did before:

First I had the CAE installed, then tried to flash yours, got forever stuck in the ANDY PAD_ part.

I frivolously did EraseIDB and reflashed only to find out I had erased booting as well (oops)

Reflashed CAE to get boot back, then tried to flash the stock rom dump as backup from some other post (I thought maybe yours had to be flashed over the original one). The CAE didn't go anywhere though. Tried again with a parameter file, got stuck at ANDY PAD_ again.

Then flashed your files again, and IT WORKED :D Apart from the gapps thingy...

If I were you I would flash back to stock using the image in this thread.

  • Follow the procedure above but only tick backup and point it at the image you downloaded.

Then flash this Rooted Stock mod over the top.

That's exactly the image I used, through the "backup" option as well - I messed up the "parameter" part I guess. Will try again with your parameter file and come back B)

UPDATE: I did EraseIDB, installed stock rom as backup with no parameter file, then installed yours, works like a charm now :)
