Roll back to GB from ICS?

4 posts in this topic

Is it possible to roll back from ICS to Gingerbread?

I used the full rom from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1063664 it is the one that begins with Z, the update begins with a V apparantly. The full rom is 160mb and the update is 128mb.

Anyway, I would like to go back to GB but the stock recovery gives me an error, presumably it doesn't want to install an older version.

Any help much appreciated.

Did it!

I followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=895545 to install CWM and then flashed the 2.3.2 rom, upon booting the rom CWM is lost. I re-locked the bootloader and now I have a stock phone. :)

Now I can send it back and get a refund.

ICS is one of the most disgusting updates i have ever seen, WTH.... Samsung just to compete with IOS 5.0.1 has quickly released a mixture and HC and GB and renamed it as ICS. I did not find anything new in it, i have been using samsung handsets since long back. I expected something new in features and specifications, but this is one of the dummy operation systems.

Just to give a kick start i tried out the Lumia, it is much better in terms of features, looks and browsing, IE is already inbuilt but i downloaded Mozilla and now its working like a PC.
