Wifi Problems

4 posts in this topic

I have been trying to resolve this for a couple of days now and nothing seems to get my wifi connection working again.

I didn't write my original mac address down but thought that I had found it in /system/etc/nv_43301b.txt and 4330b2.txt

Using es file explorer I found the lines:

#macaddr=00:90:4c:c5:12:38

macaddr=11:22:33:44:55:66

So I edited this to:

#macaddr=00:90:4c:c5:12:38

macaddr=00:90:4c:c5:12:38

In system settings the mac address is shown as 00:90:4c:c5:12:38 but I still get the "doesn't write" error message.

Any ideas??

Just a small idea, But all mac address I've seen have been fully in uppercase so might be worth changing it :

From: 00:90:4c:c5:12:38

To: 00:90:4C:C5:12:38

No idea if that actually matters(?) might be worth a shot tho.

I can't believe that it was that simple!

Changed the letters to capitals using ES File Explorer, rebooted and the wifi connected.

Russ, thanks once again.
