Twice the price but reasonable specs. Shame it's Gingerbread again! I for one won't be jumping ship but will still follow the launch next week very closely.

Opinions guys?

I don't think that the sales will be good at first and hopefully that will persuade orange to bring the price down to 150ish. That price I'd choose it over the g300

Looks quite good, nice screen and 1.6GHz processor (but Intel so I don't know how good these will perform).

Where did you find prices?

How locked down will it be, I suspect not much in the way of Dev support?

There will be a lot of proprietary stuff I imagine. Also the first devs will be starting from scratch so wont be able to just pull stuff from github. They will be laying the foundation for a road that may not be built.

Nor did it get warm in our very moderate

use. We didn’t play any games or otherwise

stress the processor, but did find a worrying

trend from the battery life indicator.

A slide from the Orange presentation

specified the phone with just 1.25 hours of

talktime before the battery is dead. Intel

claims it will sit idle (screen on but no other

functions operating) for 18 hours.

Standby time in its full sleep state is said to

be 14 days.

In our limited trial, the battery dropped

from 100% to 79% in those 45 minutes of

use. Extrapolating from this, you would see

around 3.5 hours (214 mins) of actual use –

probably less if you tried anything more

ambitious than web browsing.

Thought that was the sim slot. Looks like the iPhone sim slot with a tiny hole to pop it out.Makes sense with a non removable battery

An Atom in a phone is a really really bad idea, Those things get right hot! Oh dear Intel.. I think you've shot yourself in the foot. In other news, I got a G300 today! I got the update, The ringtone/notification volume didn't change much? The music sounds a hell of a lot better though! The screen is really vivid!

The chip in this phone is completely different from a standard Desktop/Laptop Atom CPU. Smaller, lower power, lower temperature.

What a fail of a 'review' based on a 45minute session with a pre-release phone. The author seems to be against Android anyway based on his previous work. I'll wait for proper reviews myself.
