Does it have USB debugging enabled? If so then you'll be able to copy data via adb.

Peasy...

adb shell tar -zcvf /sdcard/ContactsProvider.tar.gz /data/data/com.android.providers.contacts

adb shell tar -zcvf /sdcard/Contacts.tar.gz /data/data/com.android.contacts

adb pull /sdcard/ContactsProvider.tar.gz

adb pull /sdcard/Contacts.tar.gz

You should enable your USB Debugging so that it can be detected by computer.

Then you can install Android Assistant tool to backup contacts to computer. It can allow you access to the phone ,you can choose contacts you want to move the computer.

SAMSUNG users can also use free Kies to sync your contacts, here is the detail guide on how to backup contacts on Samsung Galaxy

You can use an android file transfer app to backup contacts android to computer, and you need to enable usb debugging on your phone, if you did this before you can still use it to transfer data to computer even your screen is broken.
