I tried this CM9 ROM too, but i have the same issue like in other.

Anybody tried VOIP features under any CM9?

Probably this is already known but I would like to say that I couldn't use properly nor the voip cm9 native app neither CSipSimple app from PlayStore. CSipSimple works properly with CM7 but It doesn't work properly in my zteblade with cm9. But I can use voip with MobileVoip app from PlayStore. MobileVoip works properly. I don't use skype and hence I haven't tried it. My ROM is konstakang cm9 20120722.

The Nexus One, along with the other first generation Snapdragon devices (devices with the QSD8x50, MSM7x25, MSM7x27 and MSM7x27T SoCs), will not be supported beyond the CM 7.x (Gingerbread) branch.

Weā€™ve been holding off on finalizing this, looking for ways that we could make this work and be happy with the release. Sadly, it never panned out, and weā€™ve decided that itā€™s time to stop our efforts

And they're FOS, they already have the drivers, they just decided that they would sell more new chips by not releasing them, there is NOTHING inherent that makes it a problem, it's the same damn hardware with a new instruction set they are using for ICS OMX IL's official.

It's pathetic and i will NEVER choose a phone with a QC chipset again, i got this phone in May and it was outdated when i bought it, it's still sold without that warning label from ZTE and QC (warning, it's outdated).

I guess the only way to get the drivers would be by blackmailing them

Reputed dev teams like cm and aokp shoud step up and threaten to stop releasing updates for QC based phones and see their sales dwindling :P

You bought a 2.5 years old phone and now you whine about no official support?

That phone was released with Eclair and got both Froyo and Gingerbread from ZTE. One year ago we all were saying "ZTE is the best company in the world, they released a 2.3.5 image for a 2.1-based phone! Samsung and Sony should learn from them" and now they turned in s*** just 'cause you've got no official ICS upgrade.

Also, if I understood properly, ARMv6 support is now removed from AOSP, how can you blame someone for not releasing driver for a platform that is not even official supported from the OS? It's like asking people to do games with DX7 support under windows, just because you still run Win 98 SE on a Pentium III and you wanna play Crysis.

Also, QC released half of the thing we need for free (Adreno200 driver) and right now we could enjoy ICS even with some litte bugs... If you really need to play videos either stuck on GB (ICS won't change your life if video decoding and FM Radio are the most important feature on your smartphone. If you really like ICS style, get a CM7 theme and Holo launcher.) or get a portable DivX player.

And if you really think that other manufacter aside from ZTE/QCom always upgrade their phones, i've got some bad news for you:

- LG/Tegra + LG/TI-OMAP: http://www.landofdro...pdates/

- Sony: http://www.xperiablo...4-1-jelly-bean/

- Samsung: http://geekace.com/o...y-bean-upgrade/

- HTC: http://www.landofdro...ing-ics-update/

If you really want the last update, Nexus is the only answer... But be sure to get the last model, otherwise you'll get some surprise

A few things here, first of all, i'm not saying that ZTE doing anything wrong, my gripe is with QC and the way they have handled this from the get go. I'd have very little problems with it if they were just honest about it rather than to outright lie about it.

I have edited your post pleace keep form bad comments about other memebers

thanks

Hey i have ran into a problem, I firstly TPT using Konstat image and installed the latest KonstaKang version, 22.7, without cleaning up first.

Used the "Mount as ext4" advice Konstat gave to make s2e work, everything went OK, after a week or two bugs started to appear, crashes, fcs, till today that out of nothing my Blade crashed while trying to open an app and when it rebooted it couldnt mount the sd card.

Having tested the sd card on other devices, and having it work fine, i made a clean install of KonstatKang version 22.7, the clean up method i used was this: http://www.modaco.co...-flashing-roms/

I come now to the conclusion that when i set "Mount as ext4" on s2e the SD card cant be mounted, as if i disable "Mount as ext4" the sd card works ok.

Any ideas how to fix this issue?

Thank you.

Thats probably because you selected "Application Data" on the app

Hi!

First:

All of the last six day my devices clock going to be crazy. Late night the clock turn back randomly 7-89 minutes. Daytime working properly, but after midnight - when i'm sleeping - going to error state, and morning i'am wakeing up to late. }:-(

All of my time/date setting value is "automatic".

While i'm rebooting the device the clock value is wrong.

If i'm rebooting the device, the clock setting to right time value, after i'm typeing the PIN.

Second:

When I'm bikeing and i'v got an incomeing call, in my wired headset i'm not heard the ringtone. Only the phones speaker sound. It is disturbing me, because my phone is in my pocket, and the noise suppress the ringtone.

Any idea.

(Sorry for my terrible english.)

using this i replaced recovery.img with custom recovery(v6.0.2) once...

but it flashed v3.0.x.x.

how was that possible

The windows flasher replaces boot.img with a recovery.img, that's why you have to flash a recovery after booting the first time. You could just copy your recovery.img to boot.img and that would work fine.

So no, it's not magic. ;)

Oh...that's no risk of break? I'll try this but where can I find the recovery.img and boot.img of KonstaKang

That's a dirty question if there ever was one, of course there is a risk involved, there always is and i will NEVER say that it won't break your phone.

It might.

You can use any recovery.img you want and put it on your phone as both boot.img and recovery.img, it doesn't really matter since it (boot partition) will be overwritten when you install your first ROM.

I use Amon_RA recovery, you might want to use CWM or even TW, i dunno, but either way, you just copy it to the files directory in the windows flasher directory and that will work great on all phones except for GEN3 blades where nothing but stock options work and no other recovery but the 5.0.2.0 or the Amon_RA recovery works.

so whats the purpose of recovery.img - |

v

i guess it flashes that too...which is stock android recovery i guess

coz when u reboot recovery from v3.0.x.x. of the windows flasher...

it boots into the stock recovery

Yeah, THAT is the point of flashing recovery into boot and keeping stock recover in recovery, so that if it's unsuccessful you can still boot into stock recovery and solve the problem via the flasher.

Sorry for the long quotes

So does that mean if i replace both boot.img and recovery.img with CWM6 recovery and something goes wrong...then im screwed ...i mean the phone gets bricked

We can still use the windows flasher via FTM mode cant we...

why do we need to boot stock recovery

Please, can anyone write short instruction, how to init sources tree with this patches, and compile it? I want to try implement FM radio support, and search any actual ICS tree for Blade...

I don't use the radio, but this seems to be merged: http://review.cyanog....com/#/c/18483/

Is this a fix for the radio maybe?

Edit: there appear to be some other things merged for the blade as well: http://review.cyanog...e_zte_blade,n,z

No, there is no FM radio in CM9.

Blade specific stuff has already been in my builds for ages. See here and here.

New build. There's really nothing going on with CM9 at the moment. Only few commits have been merged since the latest build. I ported couple of features that I did for my CM10 build.

-added hot reboot option to power menu

-improved partition info (EXT info should now work with all a2sd methods)
