YouTube: High quality THOROUGH tear down of Nexus 7 in HD

Finally, a guy who knows his electronics (Dave Jones @ EEVBlog) has torn down a Nexus 7 in glorious 1080p, slowly and methodically (as always - he knows what he is talking about) for all to marvel at. If anyone can make a decent, informed review of the inner workings of devices (and not a recital or copy/paste of specs) it's old Dave:

20:46 looks like it was designed to have a rear facing camera maybe that will be in version 2. Wonder if it was left out to meet a price point.

Interesting.

Things I noted.

The nexus 7 is easily taken apart

The usb and head phone ports seem to be on small individual pcbs - cheaper to be replaced

there are two hidden buttons - one marked reset

that last one might help with getting cold reboots to work right

and just want to add the lcd screen and glass are, as he suggests, one unit - so replacing a cracked glass is likely to be expensive
