You want one of these - the SPY-C Android controlled tank

Chalk this down as a 'I want one of those'... the 'SPY-C' Android controlled tank will be coming to the UK later this year.

Available from October (in time for my Christmas gift folks!), the SPY-C Tank is controlled using a free app on your Android or Apple device.

Connected to the tank via WiFi, the driver can see where the Tank is going via the live video stream and record this with sound to share with friends.

As well as driving the tank around and toggling recording, the user can move the camera and zoom in and out as well as hear people speak and talk back to them with the Walkie-Talkie function. Pictures and video can be shared by email or your social network sites. The inbuilt battery is said to provide around 75 minutes of autonomy.

Not frightening enough for you? How about the ability to see in the dark with the night vision (using infra-red)!

The SPY-C Tank has a RRP of £129.99 and, of course, we'll be giving it a thorough review. :D

As well as the images below, I managed to find a YouTube video of the tank in action. Want. An idea for version 2... a moveable claw. :P

Shut up and take my money.

75 minutes doesn't seem like much though. If it runs by Wifi you could, presumably, create a VPN and control it remotely.

Forget the 'I want one of those'. The correct phrase is 'I NEED one of those! Or maybe 3!!!'.

I hope this won't be another flop :)

I like that idea!

That would only really be useful if it had a charging dock you could drive / it could drive itself back to.

@PaulOBrien That can be easily done if you have some basic skills with electronics.
