Problem with Outlook on PC

I recently applied some of the security patches offered by Microsoft for XP. Since then, I can not send any emails from my Outlook. I get the following error:

'551 delivery not allowed to non-local recipient'

Anybody come across this and found a solution :?:

I think this is down to your email server, not to Outlook.

Which smtp server are you using?

You aren't using Pipex by any chance...?

I had this when using orange smtp syncing to outlook, on an ntl connection..

(ie if i send message from spv it was using the orange server, but originated from an ntl account, so the orange smtp server gets upset, solved by changing the spv's smtp server to ntl.)

Of course now i could not send email from the phone over gprs, as NTL server got upset as the mail originated from an orange account.

I no longer sync my phone with outlook mail. :)

I am using smtp.orange.net. This is over a BT Broadband line.
