warranty and custom roms?

If I install a custom rom is my warranty void? (my battery seems questionable, lasts about a day with no real use)

Also where do the recovery programs (CWM,etc) install to? sdcard?

can they be uninstalled?

thanks

1) yeah the warranty is void, but you can 'un-void' it

2) Theyre stored in the recovery partition

3) someone answered that

Thanks for the replies.

So the recovery program is stored on the "recovery partition".

If I make a backup rom is this recovery partition excluded from the newly made rom?

When I restore my phone with my backup rom will it overwrite this "recovery partition"?

I guess there's no pc based software to backup phone via adb or?
