There's a modaco site issue area for reports like this. How do you think the staff are going to find this here?

Since google bots randomly browse pages and download attachments (I believe), it might've downloaded an intrusive bootloader or root unlocker, hence causing the trojan warning.

Saying this since every unlocker I've downloaded had a trojan warning (it does have a pretty trojan-like behaviour, gaining control of a device).

It also gets annoying because I browse the site and open threads in tabs...

We've submitted the site for re-evaluation after removing a couple of suspicious posts and disabling an advertiser I suspect could be serving Malware. Apologies for the inconvenience!

I see this is now fixed, but it's a scarey reminder of just how much Google controls the internet. I use Firefox, and until this, I never realised that Mozilla are dependent on Google's blacklisting system which appears to be built in to the browser, even on direct bookmarked links. Any ideas on how one eliminates this, other than just unclicking the option to check sites? There are no alternative sources?

I'm still getting the red 'reported attack page' every time i come on the site. Not straight away, just at some random time when browsing the site, usually after using the back page arrow.

More worryingly i got a 'your computer is infected' bogus scare page with the assosiated 'click here to fix it' bullshit scam this morning.Stupidly,i closed the browser before noting where the scam link redirected too.If it happens again i'll try and get more info for you.

Perhaps clearing your cache & cookies will help with the warning coming up.

Been getting a popup for Newsblocks today when googling straight to the San Diego forum, looks highly dubious.

I just got some dodgy looking popups in the Nexus 4 forum. First one was some adverts that I closed (didn't pay much attention to what it was) followed by one of those fake "we have detected a virus on your pc, click here to install something far worse" type things. Firefox slowed to a crawl and I had to close it in Task Manager.

edit: The first popup was something called "Newsblocks" or some such.

Just to add to my last past. I'm not 100% that the second pop-up came from this site. So possibly not an issue, it might just have been a coincidence that it popped up straight after the Newsblock ad and came from somewhere else. I've not seen it since.

I just got a popup for a poker site, clicked the close icon and it tried to download a file called test.pdf from a really dodgy looking url (sorry i didnt note the url down).

This was on the modaco tapatalk app page linked from the frontpage news item.

Refreshing the page didnt make it reappear.
