Hi desalesouche,

Great job!!!

I love my U8220 and Domica, Twrock and you, are great ROMmakers.

Can you explain the instructions to install your ROM? only install zip in CWM?

Is necesary install Tre Rom previously? What should be the system partition size?

Also, I need to clarify how you has partitioned your SD. ext3, ext4, fat32, cache size, etc...

I'm waiting to install.

Thanks a lot!!!

sd card must be partitonned in fat 32 see here for more information http://www.modaco.co...itioning-guide/ (thanks twrock

follow how to...but set ext4 instead ext 3 do the same settings than how to to be safe..

link 2sd i don't use so...can't tell...check twrock thread

i use swaper 2 for swap...

edit:it is better to set with ext3 as there is an ext4 converter script

i don(t know about battery life....cos i am still porting other roms so lots of flash etc...but i can run it smooth and reactive at 528 mghz so it should save battery...better than 710 or 729 (eat a lot battery)reported by Domica...

if someone could port undervolt to kernel it would be ecen better for our phone...

about battery : went to bed with battery at 100%, in the morning i was at 97%.that is the only clue i can give for the moment.

i am working to try to update binaries and libs...

hey desalesouche

here is the arabic files

the only way is to copy them by root explorer (no other way)

here is the link

http://www.mediafire.com/?90l1lj4qeznlnns

what to do is to copy the font file (DroidSansArabic.ttf) to system/fonts/

and the other file to system/lib/

and the talk to ahmedrafat too

and the other thing is to add gapps to the rom :D

Fantastic ROM, thank you very much. I am really impressed with the compression of the apps and the whole smoothness. The only thing I would really like is GAPPS - I tried installing it bt could not get the right version I think. Do you have a link. The only other problem I see if possibly with the MAC address problem with the wifi - I need to look into that further. Any further hints are much appreciated. Its really incredible the performance you have achieved for our old phone! thanks again!!

Slight problem here - I get:

Finding update package..

Opening update package..

Verifying update package..

E:failed to read footer from /sdcard/cm72/gapps-gb-20110613-signed.zip (I/O error)

E: signature verification failed

Installation aborted.

I tried switching signature verification and script asserts off in Clockwork 2.5.0.7 Does anyone have an unsigned copy or should I just copy the gapps*.apk into the install zip under /system/app ?

thanks,

Peter

I still seem to be having problems with gapps not appearing even though I manage to download and flash the official gapps package. I tried flashing TRE2.1_dload.zip but it errors out and unable to flash TRE to get a larger system partition. What could the reason be for this? thanks a lot for the MAC address link!
