[ROM]ICS[4.0.4] Baidu REPACK v22 25.02.2013.

paul's kernel is only for stock roms, and this being a ICS 4.0.4 is clearly not that anymore, just like it doesn't (fully) work on CM9 too

and have you even noticed any improvements with paul's kernel at all, this is not some kiddies custom rom where he just added a bunch of mods he found on xda, they are actually developing it...

Can't help myself I guess. I like fiddling about to see what does and doesn't work. Somebody's got to try these things.

Edit: Just restored the original boot from a nandroid backup and BT is now working fine.

Me too,

yesterday I tried X-UI beta1, released just few days

after this one:

http://www.modaco.com/topic/359846-40romx-ui-from-chinese-forum/[/CODE]

It was nice, slowish a bit.

It was multilingual and easy to get rid of chinese software - it had some kind of uninstaller: XDA-something.

In themes you could choose Sense UI and Emotion UI, but that requested china clock which I already deleted,

anyway it was slow (not like MIUI, much better) so I reverted to Baidu.

Stock b952 is a great ROM, but other roms we flash occasionally have more features.

If your phone is rooted, with unlocked bootloader, cwm, and you are on baseband 2030,

whats stopping you to try all this roms.

Just go on, try them all, but dont forget to make a backup in cwm :D

Good evening torcato.

This rom is in two languages: chinese and english.

I removed chinese applications.

Adding other languages is possible, but that requires real knowledge, and a lot of time.

Sorry.

I did a little digging about that data mining thing. (no pun intended :- ) It was on the Lewa rom that came out for the Blade. The file in question was called umeng. It seems that Umeng.com has analytics service that it sells to developers, etc. It was said that data was being gathered to improve the Lewa rom. This could have been just for marketing purposes, but no one seem to be able to suss, what exactly was being collected and sent back, so that left a bit of doubt in many people's minds.

Well, if memory serves me well, I think it was in latin characters but you couldnt choose your local place, only chinese towns/districts. :-(

It was a nice widget, btw.

To be honest, I don`t know how to do that.

Such task would be beyond my android skills, I believe.

i was told on earlier posts that you can download the ota version but its got Chinese on it , is it easy to remove Chinese bits?
