Guest markinho
Hello, I was wondering. is it possible to remove the SIM lock on this phone? Thanks
Guest simicsl
Nothing is impossible. :) The question is how difficult it is. In my case, (ZTE grand X from Telenor Serbia) I've heard that ZTE have nothing to do with SIM locks and that mobile provider itself made some sort of protection and SIM locking. Is it true I don't know for sure but I would also like to have my Grand X unlocked.
Guest Majkl007
You are true, nothing is impossible :o) SIM lock is made by customized ROM by operator. You can solve this problem by flashing another ROM (original ZTE maybe). I thought that simlock is not used for some years, but as I can see, some operators are still doing it. Guest simicsl
You can solve this problem by flashing another ROM (original ZTE maybe). This is not possible because /modem partition is not a part of a ROM On /modem partition is SIM lock and IMEI and other things but since it's encrypted it is not likely that you can easily unlock the phone. Guest sam tyler
don't know why some say this Phone is locked.as i bought my grand x of ebay and the seller said it was locked to orange.when I got it I put my 3 sim card in and it was working.but I believe the unlocked ones in the u.k. cost about £200 but I think it depends which network you bought your phone from.so I think some are unlocked but the networks won't tell you. Guest jaceq
You CANNOT remove simlock by flashing unbranded rom. It's not so easy.
