Sir, my iris 501 is updated to JellyBean via Service Centre and now i want to root my device, can i follow the above steps to root?

I am not sure. I havent tested it on JB. If it works, I'll let you know!

Thats a great news

I think you can try the root tool by binary to give it a try.

Also can you mention which city this service center was which offered upgrade

If i get hold of JB Rom, I can root it and customize it

I sucessfully rooted my mobile with Mobile Uncle tools.

I have managed to get LAVA 501 JellyBean Firmware file and upgraded my mobile using SP Flash Tool.

File size is 705mb, I am trying to search for a free file hosting server which allow me to upload such big file.

But now I am unable to root my phone using "Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v15".
