Sound quality music players

15 posts in this topic

Been trying various music players, messing with the equalizers and the sound quality is truly terrible compared to my iPod touch? Do ipods have high quality sound chips or something?

Yes they do. Messing with the equalisers is bad as the speakers are built for the default settings.

Not really.

Just get better headphones and make sure that the music you get on your phone high quality.

The bit rate of the music should be 320kbps

You don't need 320Kbs music files, try a lower option and see if you can tell the difference. You'll save an enormous amount of space.

I think you'll find it depends on the individual, I'm in my 50s and probably couldn't tell the difference. That's why I suggested trying both options on your phone.

I wouldn't go below or above 192kps myself, that's CD quality
