A question before buying X900

11 posts in this topic

Hello,

I currently have the Nokia N900. The phone is fantastic (it is really a pc:) ) but there is hardly any development going on it. Pity about futher maemo dev from nokia. Now I am thinking of getting the Xolo X900 but I had a question regarding emulators.

I use emulators a lot on my phone.

Does the X900 support the emulators available on the app store - specifically the Retro Arch?

Thanks in advance.

Yep, Retro Arch is supported by this phone and so do other emulators

If you're interested in development however you're out of luck with the OSD, we have root but no unlocked bootloader and in all likelihood never will.

Great to know that Retro Arch is supported :)

Can you tell me the performance about the emulators in RetroArch.

I expect that PSOne and N64 wont be good but what about SNES and GBA?

The other phone I am considering is Xperia U

I used to have an Xperia U and it is worse for sure. The screen on the Xperia U does have better colours though. It is quite chunky though too

Got the phone last week. The display and performance at this price point is incredible. The call quality is also excellent.

Very happy with the purchase :)
