Does LiveView work with Jelly Bean 4.x.x?

I've got three devices.

SG Note N7000 Running Custom Rom (BeanStalk 4.2.2)

Huawei Ascend G300 Running Stock generic 4.0.3 ICS

Samsung Galaxy S Player (MP3 Media Player) Running stock 2.3.6 Gingerbread

The only one I can get the LiveView to work with is the Huawei Ascend G300.

On the Note I can download the LiveView app but when I switch Bluetooth on it they can't see each other despite the phone being in discoverable mode.

Is it possible that because I'm running a rooted phone with Custom rom the LiveView won't connect or would it not matter whether I flash it to stock it just won't work with JB?

Should I downgrade to ICS?
