Guest leestockers
I had been on the latest version of stock orange ics, I flashed xolo and got the changing colour semi brick and then used an HDMI cable to connect to the TV and done the ota update which is the latest xolo update. Phone is working fine now, but cannot root it using the AIO tool, it keeps failing. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is there a different method for rooting the latest xolo update version? Guest BlueMoonRising
You shouldn't have updated OTA, you just removed any chance of rooting I'm afraid.

That's the only way to recover it after flashing screen tho? Could he flash orange ics then root?

I meant he shouldn't have updated OTA in the first place. As for flashing Orange It's a thought and a possibility(?) but I'm not updating and finding out the hard way...
