Updated Nexus 7 to hit the UK in September?

Yesterday's Nexus 7 announcement was very short on international availability and pricing details, but it appears UK electronics giant PC World has let the cat out of the bag... and it's not good news for those of us in the UK.

Currently only the WiFi devices are listed for pre-order, with the 16GB coming in at £199 and the 32GB at £239. Availability is showing as 19/09/2013, which feels an awfully long way away! :(

It's not known whether this is a confirmed date or whether the devices will be on sale earlier in the Play Store, but here's hoping eh. The specifications for the LTE model confirmed a European version so I would expect to see this in the UK too, but it's certainly possible it would be a retailer exclusive (Carphone Warehouse perhaps?) initially.

Good work by Eurodroid on spotting this. ;)

The PC World / Currys pre order date appears to be a speculative guess at best. Doubt that date is going to encourage anyone to give them cash in advance.

Given that the advert says it comes with Android 4.2, I'd say is slightly speculative!

Suspect that firm UK launch date will only emerge once Google / Asus get a proper handle on US demand, which means we will need to wait until next week at the earliest for an official announcement.

I just hope we do get a 4G/LTE UK version (without ridiculous premiums too Google/Asus ) and an announcement soon. Love my current N7 but I also love new toys.

The Nexus 7 2013 sign up page for the UK has gone live, so you can write your email and they'll send you an email when you can order it i think. oh and Game says they'll get it by august 28th

the question is will this be the same as the old nexus 7 and nexus 4, so you will get the email 2 days after its sold out completely

Hopefully not, but anyways EBuyer are now expecting it on the 24th of August, which is a lot earlier than that of PC World/Currys
