What is CyanMobile?

Well our lead dev namely, Squadzone had written very nicely!

CyanMobile is an aftermarket ROM like CyanogenMod, MIUI, JoyOS, LewaOS and others that are built from source. Absolutely built from source based on CyanogenMod 7.2 and modifications from AOSP, AOKP and Paranoid etc.

Few features:

Pie control, Navigation bar, Lot of new settings, etc.

For more information,read our

website

This rom is absolutely built from source for the ZTE Skate.

Working :

• Everything

Bugs :

• For Notification bar, after make it the phone to reboot, need some tap to make it work, if you get once than you dont have any problem with it.

{ no major problem }

• When you tap on the „Additional system updates” in main settings, you get FC, because i removed the ROMUpdater app.

{ no major problem, may be add to that later }

Notice:

- int2ext+ script work fine.

- Fly on mode with GB sqlite work fine too

How to fresh install:

• Wipe data/factory reset

• Go to mounts and storage and format /system & /boot

• Select to install a zip from the SD card and locate CyanMobile

• Select to install a zip from the SD card and locate Gapps

Prerequisites

• ROM fits on 170MB system partition with gapps package

How to update:

• Select to install a zip from the SD Card and locate the CyanMobile update

• Wipe the cache

• Wipe the Dalvik cache

• Reboot

Tried it for an hour. So lets start. Terrible start up music...

Confusing menus, not well thought through. Infinite number of menus and submenus, with no particular order. Id need to spend over 2 hours to tweak it to my need. Not to mention that the settings style is hideous.

On the other hand works smooth as it gets on GB with stock launcher (nothing better than CM7.2, Mokee os..), has plenty of settings, tweaks and things to work with.

All in all, i wouldnt recommend it because it looks like an unfinished product but doesnt mean someone wouldnt like it. IMHO main problem is its blend of styles. PIO, GB stat bar, terrible looking soft buttons, JB like notification bar, Donut like settings menu style...

I agree.

Also, android market comes from prehistoric times, and you can not download apps tpt helper for example

tnx

My first impressions:

Rom seems very fast. The settings are very confusing and scattered. Irritating screen saver

You can disable screensaver and boot sound or change to whatever you like in cyanparts. I searching a best settings for cyanparts and put into that source or made an backup which is easy to restore in cyanparts. Also i using with ice theme which come basically just not enabled by default.

Im using it for a few days without any big issue, play and service updated auromatically and should work. I can download from playstore.

I dont want any bad for the users just something new.

Sry for my english :)

Thx for sharing.

My first opinion: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!It's very fast and smooth!!!!!!!!!!!

Just disabling bootsound.

I've combined it with PurePerformances™X_CM.1.4 and Int2script+ (very stable and fast).

This is the Mod ==> http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=2360985

GB gapps (2012/03/17) ==> http://www.4shared.c...237-signed.html

Yeah, I tried it but it just looks really unpolished. It *did* feel smoother than CM7 in some places - especially the Jelly Bean style animations - but some parts of the UI actually felt laggier to me. The status bar/notification drawer in particular seemed very bloated IMO.

It does bring some novel ideas to the table I haven't seen in any other GB ROM, but it's not really enough for me to recommend it.

Felt the same to to me, when I tried a newer build of it a few months back and also it just "decided" to stop working after a few days xD

The best GB rom imo is Mokee os, it's smoother than CM7 and looks nice.

I quite like Mokee, but it also seems kind of laggy in some places. I'm also not a fan of the sliding notification drawer feature, but that may just be because I never use it.

CM7 itself seems to be the best Gingerbread ROM I've used. Some things are annoying (I really dislike the lockscreen), but they're easy enough to change.
