Guest saiem1
Using Xposed Framework I found a module which hides the annoying carrier text on the status bar for KitKat Xposed framework apkhttp://dl-count.xposed.info/modules/de.robv.android.xposed.installer_v25_36cbbc.apk Xposed Module: Moto X Hide Carrier for 4.4+ http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.penree.android.xposed.hidecarriermotox
Guest gavin.19
One of the few things I'd like to do. Pity Xposed doesn't work with ART.
Guest saiem1
I don't use Art because of the extra space it takes up, I would've used it if the Moto G had a Micro SD slot. Wouldve put in a 64gb if it was supported :)

Dalvik bytecode is apparently a lot "denser" than ARM machine code.

Will have to get one of those little MicroSD dongles. They need stickmount, or another OTG enabler, no support in 4.4 out of the box..... But the Carrier Text Label on the notification does not exist in the US KK ROM.... see my pic...only in the lock screen bottom is carrier shown.
