Can I Mount Hudl Under Linux Mint LTS?

4 posts in this topic

Hi, all.

We've just got a Hudl and I expected it to be recognized (for file transfer) as a USB mass storage device, by my 32-bit Mint LTS box. Unfortunately, I don't seem to be able to do anything with the mtp option.

I've used almost every distro since 1998, but I like Mint LTS as my daily driver. If it enables the connection of the Hudl, I will upgrade to a newer Linux distro.

Anyone manage to overcome the mtp connection problem?

Cheers,

Chris.

Interim update. I've just tried the Ubuntu 14.04 daily image on a spare 32-bit box, and in 'live cd' mode, it instantly recognised the hudl. I am doing a proper install. Once verified that this still works, I'll try the latest public release of Mint.

Cheers,

Chris.
