MWC 2014: We are here

I am here with Paul O'Brien in lovely Barcelona attending MWC 2014 which promises to be the biggest and best MWC yet.

We arrived late today, and just in time for Showstoppers where we already managed to take a look at a couple of very interesting products, including the MOJO C.T.L.R.i which is an MFI approved iPhone game controller. We totally geeked out on some classic gaming with R-Type 2.

Olloclip gave us a demo of their very cool iPhone camera lenses and we will have a review up soon of their full product range.

To our surprise, Copilot is a big player on Windows Phone and Paul finally got a chance to play with a Nokia Lumia 1520 which they were using to demonstrate their product. They have some cool innovations coming including the ability to learn your preferred routes as well as giving better traffic information. They are also using MirrorLink which will allow you to not only view the satellite navigation information from your phone through your cars infotainment system but also manage the app from there.

Garmin were there showing us their fitness bands and a very interesting heads up display for your car which uses data from your phone to show sat nav directions right in your eye-line.

To say we saw a lot in our first hour here at MWC is an understatement, but keep checking back with MoDaCo as we will bring you lots of news over the next few days. Please let us know in the comments if there is anything you are interested in and we will do our best to track it down.
