I think that I saw at some Chinese forum

a post about some problems with v55.

I have v54 on and it works without

problems for more than a week now.

I installed gapps. I am not sure if that

was easy, but if you have troubles do it

this way:

If it stops during account registration

and you stuck in registration process,

just pull down notifications from top,

choose settings there and go to accounts.

Find Google there and register as usual.

:D

I installed Baidu v54 from the official Baidu

page, not one of the various forum releases.

You can find the link on the first page.

I installed 4.2 ATX 039 ROM (826) which works good, but I get lags. Plus the Antutu score is only 19500 (no power saving on). I want to try the previous release (813), as someone wrote a couple of posts ago that it seemed better. Do I have to do all the wipes just like when switching ROMs, or is a simple install enough?

I'm waiting for it, the inside is plastic, so it should handle a decent impact (at least for the phone, I really don't care that much if the glass of the case destroyes :D )

Aha, same I'm not too bothered about the glass case, it's the glass phone screen that worries me

I'm currently using 4.2.2 "PURE-AOSP-CoolPad-8297W-V2.0-by-jonzalvo" which is working fast and smooth so far. Battery life is also quite good, significantly better than my N4.

From all the clean AOSP KK so far, anyone which is more stable than others?

I tried FIRE 040 4.2.2. I think antutu was 26xxx , not more for sure. It was smooth, memory consumption like 039 ATX lite 0813. Slightly less bloatware I would say. Battery consumption the same I would say.

O yeah epic citadel benchmark was 54 frames (in 039 ATX I had 59).

I switched back to Pure AOSP. Hmm. why I got there antutu 29165 and only 49 FPS average in epic. Aaah well, at least multitasking runs better ( FV-5 camera on  Pure AOSP loads it noticable faster than ATX and FIRE).

EDIT: sorry antutu 5, newer version..

Please be more precise about Antutu version, because on Antutu 4 I had about 26760 and on Antutu 5 I get 31580 on AOSP 4.2.2 1.0 (tests run few times to confirm).

I like this option!

Now i have Jasen OS and i had decide to wait for a version of 4.4.2 with good battery performance.

But a baidu 54 "lite" in this way, is always welcome!

Is it gonna be a flashable image?

Im willing to try, if you do it, include also gapps from the start (if you can)

With JasonOS I experienced issues after several hours. I couldn't unlock the phone or it would run very slowly. I also couldn't get the bottom buttons backlit for more than 5 seconds which was very annoying. ATX now seems far more stable.

Yes, jasonOS was very promising but after

few days it became sluggish.

I have Baidu for over a week now

and it is stabile and fluent as it was on the day

I flashed it.

It is in an usual format for flashing.

I don't know how to implement gapps into a rom.

Might try to look into it tomorrow.

You have the link on the first

page of this topic.

There are two F1 roms at that baidu

download page.

One is stabile but old release and

the other is beta 55 which is updated

every week or so.

I will upload beta 54 english repack today

so you may wait a bit if you wish to try it.
