Hi Guys,
Can anyone advise me on what to do next in order to install a mod on my ZTE Blade gen2 and what ROM to install?

The phone is rooted, though only temporarily, using z4RooT Version 1.3.0. The phone becomes "Unrooted" when it is powered off and then
powered back on. - Can anyone explian why this is happening and what can I do to permanently root the phone?

I installed Clockwork mod 5.0.2.0 via Rom manager V5.5.2.8 over Wi-Fi.

I tried downloading a ROM using the Rom manager app. via Wi-Fi, the download hung.

All apps, messges and contacts are backed up.

A concern I have is that my blade wont boot into recovery mode, either manually (Pressing volume up - Or Volume down - and power key the phone just boots up as if powering on normally) or booting into recovery mode via Rom manager V5.5.2.8. Doing it via Rom manager, the phone gets stuck on the green android icon - Is this "Hanging" anything to do with z4RooT only rooting the phone temporarily?

Also I cant make a backup of my rom using Rom manager, the phone again gets stuck on the green android icon.

I have read a lot trying to sort this out myself and now I'm just really confused as to what to do next as I'm what is termed "Overloaded" due to my dyslexia.

Thanks for reading my post

Update -  I've now got the phone permanently rooted by using a different copy of z4RooT.

The phone is still "Hanging" on the green android icon using both methods described above.
