Issues/Bugs with the Vodafone Smart Ultra 6

UPDATED/corrected due to OTA updates and issues being resolved or nonexistent.

These issues are present in the stock ROM as far as I can understand - take this list as NOT being fact just as a guide as it may be inaccurate.

I have tried to link the relevant threads regarding the issue. If reported/confirmed by other user this should be in the same thread.

Here's a list:

Occasional BLUE FLASHES during YouTube video playback.

Thread: http://www.modaco.com/forums/topic/375853-anyone-else-experiencing-blue-flashes-on-screen-after-a-while-during-video-playback-on-youtube/

UPDATE: I no longer get these flashes so I guess it is FIXED in some update. Confirmation on if it is resolved from others who experienced this would be nice.

No Qualcomm Quick Charge support (but this is listed on the product box). Apparently going to be added in an update.

Thread: http://www.modaco.com/forums/topic/375518-no-quickcharge-20-support/

UPDATE: I think the Vodafone Rep. May have been confused or something. I think this phone actually might only have QuickCharge 1.0 so I guess it does have QuichCharge. Not an issue in that case.

Recent button doesn't power on the capacitive button back lights (but you can always have them turned onon but when charging the back and decents button lights turn off.)

Thread: Sorry I couldn't find the thread but I remember reading it on here. I also think it was reported on XDA developers.

UPDATE: This issue seems to have disappeared so may have been fixed in an update as back lights seem to work as expected. Need confirmation though.

Not all headphones seem to work. FM radio works for me as long as the headphones work.

Thread: http://www.modaco.com/forums/topic/375644-fm-radioheadphones-buggy/

UPDATE: Others had some issues not me but I guess Android compatible headphones should work. I've used a quite few headphones and they seem to work except some that came with a Symbian Nokia but they might use a different wiring scheme which may make the incompatible.UPDATE: Think I had some sort of hiccup once from what I remember but I guess Android compatible headphones should work. I've used a quite few headphones and they seem to work except some that came with a Symbian Nokia but they might use a different wiring scheme which may make the incompatible. There have been updates which may have ironed out any bugs

Double tap to wake is temperamental don't know is this is just on this phone as I haven't used this feature on any other phone before.

Thread: http://www.modaco.com/forums/topic/375685-double-tap-to-wake/

UPDATE: Don't really use this but someone should test this and confirm if it has improved after an update.

Occasionally the volume slider freezes and doesn't move according to the button presses but the volume does change. This may be an Android issue.

UPDATE: Havn't had this issue in a while so it may be FIXED. Needs confirming if this is true.

Other/Not Major:

Cannot handle Snapchat filters - not really a major issue.

Thread: http://www.modaco.com/forums/topic/375879-disappointed/

UPDATE: Still not working. SnapChat features are really buggy on this phone still. For some reason the app does not work as it should on this phone.

UPDATE: Many issues I had seem to have been resolved via updates or were nonexistent in the case of the QuickCharging one I guess.

Cool phone for price. Especially when it it cheaper that £125 sometimes (from what I read on this site).

I own the Smart Prime 6, and using the Xposed Framework you can enable Snapchat filters.

There's guides on the internet for it.

The issue isn't enabling them. It is that when trying to apply them they cause the App to lag, freeze and even crash. So I purposefully have them disabled. You can easily enable filters in Snapchat by default be swiping to apply and clicking on the "I want filters" button anyway.

Oh sorry. i misread your post, I thought you meant Snapchat lenses.

Yeah, that is an issue with the camera software, the Alcatel Idol 3 had a similar issue, but they patched it up.

Does enabling 2D acceleration in dev options help at all? I had a few crashes on my prime until that was enabled in Snapchat.

Would using a different camera app solve the problem with Snapchat filters? (whatever they are...)

Not really as Snapchat is a camera app in itself. (Kind of.)

Issues with me. Music playback cut-off at the end of a track. Googled and the only similar issue was with nuplayer vs awesomeplayer in developer option. People adviced to uncheck "use nuplayer instead of awesomeplayer" but didnt fix the problem. Really annoying!
