So who would be interested in forum related T-Shirts, Fleeces, mugs etc. from CafePress?

I'm going to get someone to design us a cool logo for the site, so it might be quite fun?

Good idea? Bad idea?

P

PS The new site slogan is 'Smarter SmartPhone' :)

You wouldn't be selling out to blatant commercialism now would you Paul? They'll be a MoDaCo Christmas single next, but it'll have to only play one instrument at a time so we can use it as a MIDI ringtone :)

One problem - with only a few thousand users, who would know what our T Shirts were about?!

I would definetly buy a mousemat (how about app unlocking instructions on it. Bit stupid but hey i'm only 14 :) ) , maybe a mug (don't drink much tea or coffee), Clothing (not sure if i'd get stick about it in school).

Anyway I think that it would be a good idea to have Modaco merchandise anyway.

MoDaCo merchandise.... What next? Mousemat's ok. How about a free mousemat to first 1000 users when 10,000 user limit reached? hehe. As for a mug or tshirt, I spend enough time 'IN' the site 'consuming' its contents.. No thank you. Oh I forgot, I'm a mod, I should be supportive : How about free merchandise to mods then?? :)

PS: Everything in this world tends to revolve round the word 'free' dunnit? ;)

Mousemat is a good idea, not sure about t-shirts etc. You will need to have plenty of interest or the unit costs would be too high. I know somebody in the biz if you are looking to source the gear. He only deals with large amounts though(again due to costs).

http://www.cafepress.com as Paul mentioned is one solution.

Not true about quantity and cost :)

The Company who embroider all my business clothing charge a 1 off cost to make the embroidery tape (normally £50) and then will embroider just 1 shirt if that's all you want - a 230gsm Polo Shirt for £12.00! A Fleece for £20.00! Quality!

If your interested Paul let me know ;)
