CM 12.1 works super great...thanks a lot....at last my vi10 works as it should....Question: is there any way to expand storage to full capacity of the Vi10 (32gb) instead of 8gb I get when flashing CM 12.1 ?

You mean Vi10 Plus? Vi10 is a different device. These names are already confusing as they are...

AFAIK all 32gb Vi10 Plus devices have shipped with Remix OS only. So you've changed the partition layout by installing Windows 10 dual-boot yourself? Flashing CyanogenMod doesn't affect your partition sizes in any way.

Yes, it's possible to change the partition layout to whatever. gpt.bin is the partition table where these are set up. Use one from single boot firmware if you want bigger Android partitions (or hex edit it if you want to modify even further). You need to use Intel Platform Flash Tool to change partition table.

Yes I meant Vi10 Plus. I first  installed  stock Android only with 32gb partition gpt.bin file and it was freezing too often. Then stock Android with 8gb gpt file. Was still freezing but less  often. Then tried CM 12.1 over the 8gb partition and  Vi10+ is now very very stable. Instead of reinstalling everything I was wondering if there was an easy way to expand the 8gb partition to 32gb. I prefer CM over Remix

Would it be alright if I try to flash it on the Hi8 Pro?

Can't stop you from trying but it won't work if that's what you're asking.

See Intel's 'How to Build a Custom Kernel'. Intel kernel build environment is available here. That's for Bay Trail so you need to change couple of things for Cherry Trail. Toolchain needs to be updated to poky/1.8. You also need to hack couple things in the build script to build external modules.

I didn't say that. I said I haven't looked into it because no one has even bothered to post a logcat.

Say you can than to help or not?

So, if I wanted single boot stock android with full 32gb storage (the current image is only 8gb) then could I just replace the gpt.bin file with the one from the stock RemixOS image?

(Sorry it's off topic for Cyanogenmod)

Yes, gpt from stock Remix rom. Not sure if using update option in flash tool would do it, otherwise flash with recover option and it should work.

Hi10 Pro here and everything works like a charm. The HiPen H2 works better on Windows, though but I must say that it didn't work flawlessly on Remix so I don't think there's anything wrong with KonstaT's ROM.

KonstaT, I just gave you a donation for your effort.

Keep up the good work!

Would anyone recommend buying the CHUWI Vi10 Plus? It's on sale at Gearbest now and with these new fixes, I might be tempted to get myself an early Christmas present :).

I would say this: without KonstaT's rom it's worthless as a android tablet, but with his rom it a steal and worth every penny ;-)

Only thing is the speakers, they dont start any party. I would say they are only ok.

I still haven't seen that logcat I asked you to post (twice). Or you want me to just try all six trillion games available on Play Store myself?

I don't work here for anyone except myself. There's no ETA if/when I'm going to look into some issue and if/when it's going to get fixed. Everything I've posted here is completely open source (https://github.com/CM-CHT). If you need something fixed today, there's nothing stopping you from doing it yourself.

Yeah, the HiPen H2 is absolute rubbish. Sometimes I'm not so sure if it's working or not either. There's no difference to Remix OS, though.

Everything is always on "sale" on GearBest. ;) Probably not the best bargain right now (IIRC mine was $129 with keyboard dock included). In retrospect I'd probably gone with Hi10 Pro/Hibook Pro because of the better keyboard. It's not like I've ever really used it or will use it but at least it would be prettier to look at and carry around. :P Don't buy the pen on any of these devices, it's useless.

I'm now very pleased with my Vi10 Plus with the 'freezing issue' fixed. Always liked the design, hardware, and build quality but that 'freezing issue' was a disaster! It's one of the very few Chinese tablets with decent CM12.1 build. It's the only one that's going to get somewhat decent CM13 build (kernel source). It's the only Chinese tablet with kernel source available. It's actually the only device I could recommend if your into that kind of thing.

Do you think the Hibook and the Hibook Pro might have the same kernel in Android? I've found a Remix OS Rom for the Hibook and I'd like to try it on my Hibook Pro, but will there be some compatibility problems?

The Rom is this http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=734255&st=40#entry50072404

No, that won't work. It has completely different hardware. Someone tried this build on Hibook and practically nothing worked.

I've been planning to make TWRP flashable Remix OS ROM with similar compatibility patches for different devices like here.

I was trying to install  your cm build following instructions wrote here but the link   https://www.dropbox.com/s/unse6nfy3q39sdz/Vi10 Plus Remix OS -singleboot.rar?dl=0  says "This account's links are generating too much traffic and have been temporarily disabled!" . can you address me to another tutorial to install cm12.1 ? i have chuwi vi10plus remixos and it suffers of frequent freezes when SD card is inserted. Thank you in advance. Marco

There's installation instructions in third post of this thread. There's TWRP installation instructions in the TWRP thread. Those are the only guides you need to follow. First you unlock bootloader and install custom recovery (TWRP). You flash custom ROMs (such as CyanogenMod) using custom recovery. That's no different to any other Android device out there.

If I flash Remix OS for Hibook and then I flash the stock kernel of Hibook Pro, could i have some chance to get it working?

Moreover, i've found this http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/tutorial-rooting-android-installing-xposed-and-more/       Can I install exFat support on this CyanogenMod or in Stock Android Rom? And what about xposed?

Thanks for all

No, that won't work either. Still a lot of trouble after that because of different wif/bt, audio, camera, etc hardware.

CyanogenMod already has exFAT support so you don't need to install that. Xposed Framework (x86) is reported to work on these CM builds.

I can't support installations with any third party tweaks/hacks/etc (that are known to cause all kinds of problems) so don't come here complaining or asking for support if/when you run into trouble. I'll still maintain my 'no wipe, no whine' policy. :P If you want to report any issues you should be able to reproduce your problem on clean installation (following installation instructions in the third post of this thread).

I see this in the description of this CM Rom: Audio not routed through HDMI.

But a user said that also audio through HDMI works for him. So, what's the truth about HDMI? Does only video work?

I'd extremely surprised if it worked for anyone.

Display works but audio comes out of device's speaker.

No patch needed. It's exactly the same device as Vi10 Plus, just with 4gb RAM & 64gb storage. Unless of course it's the new Hi10 Plus with z8350 but that should be fine, too. This is getting so confusing even for me...
