Does anyone know of software similar to cleartemp (besides memory maid) or a version of clear temp that does not cause the boot.exe error with the m2d v3 rom version? I forgot to thank everyone on this forum for all the hard work they have devoted to making the omnia a much better device.. (i forgot to mention that in my first post)

I have been running M2D v.3 since its release and everything's been good. I have been using htcAddicts_cleanRAM_v1.1.8 and I think it works really well. It has 3 stages of cleaning that all work efficiently. I like it. Hope this helps! :D

Oh ps what version of Cleartemp are you using? I have 1.2 and I don't get any errors from using it in conjunction with the M2D rom... Lemme know if you need it.

Clear temp 1.2.1... and galarm 2.0 causes a glarm reloaded error to come about after a soft reset, hopefully the older version works.. (Thanks for the link, some new software to play with is always fun)

I'm on M2D v3. Installed Smart_Reader_for_Adryn_Roms.cab (business card reader) and it works fine for me.

Tested and it works :) The default installer on Shocka's site doesn't work. Just google this version and you'll find the link to the download on 4shared. <_<

if you are on vista, you need to go into the phones connections under Start>settings>connections>UsbtoPC and UNcheck that box. Then vista will see your phone and you can transfer at will.

I remembered that super late last night and was like...Oh yeah...joyous Vista issue.

Thanks though for the reminder!

I had to enable it in CHome editor to bring them up

yeah i did the same. have you had any luck in getting either the gps or the custom chome icons to work? my gps used to give me the error that there was a faint signal but now it fails to even locate the gps. also, i made a folder called My Documents in my storage and put icons in there but chome still gives me the 'directory not found' error.

Anyone else notice an improvement to the GPS functioning. I don't have to go outside to get a quick (5 seconds) gps fix any more. Thanks Wozzer!

it is alot better but there are times that i wont get a gps lock until im on the way back home, and there are times i will get a lock in 5 sec, settings im using is just google maps and gps is managed by windows, i forgot where i read this but its been said that if you turn the phone upside down so that the back and bottom is facing the sky youll get a faster lock

Thats funny because I never heard that but I remember when I first got the phone that there was a sticker towards the bottom of the battery cover that said not to cover it or something like that because that was where the "something important" was located, I forgot what it said exactly but yeah I agree with your method of holding the device upside down to get a faster lock. I also suggest one of those phone holders that mounts on your air vent in your car because it gives your phone a pretty clear view of the sky through the windshield, thus resulting in a fairly quick lock; for me anyways <_<

The sticker was a warning that the internal antenna is located in the bottom of the phone and saying not to hold it there when talking on the phone. Most of the time this is pretty silly as the signal you get these days is pretty good. Holding over the antenna won't really bother it too much as long as you're in a strong signal area, though when I'm at work (we don't even have 3g here) and I'm inside my brick building with a metal roof my signal goes down dramatically. Not holding it at the bottom actually does increase the telephonic experience for me. I'm not sure where the gps is located in the phone but I'd assume in the bottom as the battery takes up the top! Maybe it helps?

Hey, one quick question. I have tried looking. I have read through the first 8 pages of this thread and no one else seems to have this problem.

My wifi doesn't work. Is there anything I can do to fix the problem?

I see it was a problem but it seems he has fixed it. I downloaded 6.5 thursday and love it. But no luck with wifi. I got it to connect once and haven't been able to since. If I go to wireless manager my wifi doesn't even show up. Thank you so much if anyone can help me. And one more thing.

Is there only one search button? I see "search" button up on top in between help and members. But is there another way to search specific threads for keywords. I have tried and tried but every time I do a search it just shows me all threads that say something I search for. It doesn't even tell me which post it is in. I am sorry for the most likely stupid questions. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Did you flash the leaked CC20 ROM first?

If so, just reflash with Wozzer's ROM again, and it should be fine...

Though I've been getting sat. lock fairly quick, turning it upside down just now (couldn't help myself) and it seemed to lock 8 sats very quickly...only prob is my location shows off the coast of NIGERIA and I'm an hour North of Houston...baaahahaha

Edit: Reset of Google Maps still had me vacationing (of the coast of Nigeria, in the water, on the equator) but a soft reset locked in 6 sats very quick and zoomed right in on my house (I'm inside)

Anyone have preferences on GPS programs? I'm running M2D v3 (and LOVING it). Wozzer, thanks bud...really appreciate you putting your time and energy into putting this out here for us!

PS - Anybody else getting in trouble w/ the wife for spending too much time on the computer/phone? haha

I had that problem with the v2 rom but I've not had it with v3. You should flash v3. Even with v2 however I could get wireless 'back' with a soft reset.

Lovin' the ROM, Wozzer. It's lovely. I do have one simple question though: how do I change the background/wallpaper of the M2D screens, like People, Programs, Settings, Internet, Messages, etc. I can change the one for Home, but I can't find the image to change for the rest of them. Anyone know?

Thanks again, Wozzer. Lovely ROM.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but open M2DC go to background tab and you can set the background for the screens

---- Internal Antenna Area ----

For best performance. Do NOT

touch this area when using your phone.

It's on the back of the phone. I've not removed the sticker.
