I'm using it daily (bsbsbs also does). Memory is enough for normal light usage.

This version seems to get rid of automatic memory management " tweak.sh", will need to add it ?

my problem is:

in first level of install when i choose androidinstall.exe this error display to me:

"mounting dev/block/mmcblk1p5 on sd card faild ; No such device or address

cant mount internal flash!!!!!!"

pls help me.....

(sorry for my bad english!)

I think you have to use your phone to format your SD card (make sure your phone recognize SD card normally). Put all the files that you downloaded to the root of My storage and then run autoinstall again. I just tried once and succeeded.

I have no SD card, my STORAGE is the primary partition, how to install???

So you have to wait until the My Storage Installation released...

how about the sdcard? primary partition?

this time it comes out:

error: Partition doesn't exist

parted: invalid option -1

parted: invalid option -3

parted: invalid option -6

......

tune2fs: No such file or directory while trying to open /dev/block/mmcblk0p

Couldn't find valid filesystem superblock.

e2fsck: No such file or directory while trying to open /dev/block/mmcblk0p

End?

edit: it is OK now

so i think beta3 require my storage with logical partition 1st and sdcard primary partition as default

hope this time it didnt freeze anymore

maybe i should get myself a better scard, this 8G one is so slowly

I successfully installed Beta 3 on my i8000 (my storage), I find it a bit clunky but I haven't finished configuring it all yet so we'll see. The swap partition (linux-swap) definitely works since right now it says 23mb used when I type free in terminal emulator. Angry birds is awesome now though, but still sound cuts off when there is some big animations, but hey its a 3 year old phone its just amazing that it runs android :)

USB for sharing data definitely doesn't work for me when booted in android (i tried on linux and win7) so I'm stuck with using SwiFTP server to transfer files to my phone.

It's weird that I don't see my phone number in the status page anymore but the phone works well. I'm hoping the devs will have some fixes soon for the USB. But its funny that last time I had the some problem with USB but plugged it at work on a XP pc and it worked on win7 when i got home. I'll try it again tomorrow when I get to work.

I don't like beta3, it much slowly compared to b2! I would prefer to get memory back or apply microphone fix to beta2.

Update: with installer I have better performance. First time upgrade been used...

yes :(:unsure::huh:

No, for me works fine.

Comparing to beta2, beta3 has only less ram (beside working BT, fixed microphones, phone etc.). Practically no changes to filesystem, so it simply can't be slow. If You have slow SD card, it will be slow.

And believe me: I'm not using any other version than You.

guys, try to follow the guide. In beta 3, if you have the swap space properly mounted, it should go good (B2 as well)

And I don't believe dev team will build some good while ruining the existing

Only slight reminder: battery drain is serious (comparatively), probably becoz of the wifi fix?

Hello.

I installed the program from the market Swapper. The program detects the FAT on the SD card. I create the new 200MB swap partition.Reboot the system. swapper runs when booting the system and activates the new created partition swap. The result is a significant acceleration in my system and other applications like Andry birds.

Thanks for the dev.

You do not need any app for swap...

--------------------------------------------------------------------

And one more thing... Sorry, but if installer don't work and no one will test it, I just will not repair it, because I don't have time for testing such things. Someone declared that will test my corrections and now, it's working for him, so no testing... It just don't work like that. I'm really disappointed with that...

You dont have to be dissapointed, here there are so many people watching this thread, that you can hear so many opinions. I am one of them that dont have so much knowledge of linux, but i keep googling to find answers. From beta2 i use everyday, it has a few lags but its ok. In my opinion as i am not interested in games i think memory should focus to run android without lag and not for 3d. I think you can consider 2 versions as many people dont use Omnia for gaming.

I've made a fresh instalation of beta3 to MyStorage, and I'm amazed ...

The RAM is ok, the phone work awesomly, the batery drain is amazing! (all night on sleep, and it changes from 79% to 79%, Yes, it didn't loose any batery during the sleep mode, in 2g.

Since I've no used the autoinstall the unique thing that is not so ok, is the swapper ... I'll create an swap partition on SDCard, with ext4 format, and will be doing new point =)

Thanks a lot devs ;)

partition code was wrong

if SD is inserted when installing

SD card = mmcblk0

storage = mmcblk1

partition code: primary p1,p2,p3 / logical p5,p6,p7
