Regular readers may recall that we recently launched our new Teclast forum. The Teclast X98 Air II and 3G have been wildly popular amongst enthusiasts due to their ultra competitive price, solid specs and dual boot Windows / Android setup. Both retail for around £125 at Gearbest. They now have a successor however, in the form of the X98 Pro, which bumps the processor to an impressive Cherry Trail X5-Z8500 model and doubles RAM to 4GB. Storage remains at 64GB, seriously impressive specs for ~£170 via this Aliexpress seller. We now have one in the office for review - so we're fielding your questions in this topic in the Teclast forum. Ask away!

So the HTC One A9 has now been announced, and you'll be able to buy it early in November. Once again, the device was much leaked and once again, the leaks were virtually spot on. We've had a bit of time with the device ahead of the official announcement, so read on for our first thoughts on HTC's latest phone ahead of a full review next week.

HTC have just announced the HTC One A9 at their online launch event. The 5" phone with a strikingly familiar design will be the first non-Nexus device to ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and includes a new 13 Megapixel camera with Optical Image Stabilisation, all powered by the Snapdragon 615 processor. We have posted our initial hands on in this post and you can read the full press release and specs in our post too.

The Tesco Hudl and Hudl 2 devices were great tablets. The first generation over-delivered against people's expectations, despite having a Rockchip processor and plastic build, by virtue of its great screen and extremely competitive price point. The second generation went a step further with the same formula, this time packing an Intel chip and even getting upgraded recently to Lollipop, much to everyone's surprise. I come bearing bad news however - the Hudl project is dead and there will likely be no Hudl 3.

Later today, HTC are holding a virtual launch event for a new 'hero' (range topping) device, which we expect to be the widely leaked 'Aero'. It can't be stressed enough how much HTC needs a blockbuster hit to turn around its fortunes, so current CEO Cher Wang, who replaced long-standing leader Peter Chou earlier this year, will be hoping that the new phone - the first to be realised under her guidance - is the one to deliver. Watch it here with the embedded live stream and let us know your thoughts!
