Are you rocking a Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 7 (2013), Nexus 9 or Nexus Player? Then happy days - Android 6.0 Marshmallow is now available for you to manually flash to your device (in the form of a factory image) and will also be deployed to your device in due course in the form of an over the air software update. Of course, it will also be pre-installed on the new Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P devices that will ship later this month.

More and more Android devices are featuring fingerprint readers now. Arguably popularised by the iPhone, fingerprint readers have actually been around for many years, but only now have they become reliable enough to genuinely become a mass market item. As we see phones with readers on the front, back and even the side... which works best? We've been finding out.

Looking for something fun to play on your Android device? The critically acclaimed Monument Valley, normally priced at £1.49 plus in app purchases, is currently available completely free (including the IAPs!) via the 'Amazon Underground' programme. Monument Valley involves manipulating impossible architecture to guide a silent princess through a stunningly beautiful world (and boy, is it beautiful).

The Swift is the first device from UK based WileyFox, a company that shares a lot in common with fellow phone maker Kazam. Priced at £129, the Swift is the entry level device that sits below the mid-range £199 Storm. It packs a Snapdragon 410 processor, 16GB ROM, 2GB RAM, a 5" HD screen with Gorilla Glass 3 protection, dual SIM capability, a soft touch finish not altogether unlike OnePlus' 'Sandstone' and most interestingly - Cyanogen OS out of the box.

Readers of my Twitter feed will have noticed that i'm been tweeting about the X98 Air II / 3G dual boot Windows / Android tablets lately and i've been pretty impressed. So impressed, i'm working on a guide to converting the stock Windows 8.1 / KitKat OS' to Windows 10 and Lollipop. Both tablets are currently on offer in the Gearbest UK warehouse!

HTC have just sent out invites to an event on October 20th to launch a new flagship device (which we assume is the 'Aero', aka the One A9). The event will be held at noon NYC time (5pm UK time)... via the Internet. That's right, there will be no physical event for this launch - it'll all be done online. The proverbial cat has really been let out of the proverbial bag we fear with regards to the announcement but nonetheless, we look forward to seeing the device and hearing what HTC have to say!

As the festive season approaches (sorry, it's inevitable!) the thoughts of parents across the lands will turn to a budget tablet for their little darlings. We've got our hands on the ~£100 Sero 8 Pro from HiSense, a 8", 'retina display', metal bodied tablet that looks to provide an option a little different to the more established players.

Today (29th September) at 5PM BST / 4PM GMT / 9AM PT, Google are holding an event where they are expected to announce the Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P (no, seriously, those are the names) and also a couple of other treats, including an updated Chromecast. As always, the event will be live streamed via YouTube for Nexus fans worldwide.
