I've a problem when installing the .cab :
i download it in my pocket pc (on the storage card or in windows/startup) but when i launch the .cab, it's always the same message : KeylockFr.cab is not a valid installation file of windows CE.... i really don't understand why ...
could you help me ?

I have a request of this great application, is it possible to have option of how the sceensaver view is ? e.g. top to bottom, bottom up, side left and right

When I charge my phone I have to sit it right beside my keyboard and I cann't see the clock upside down (no craddle what so ever) and when I charge in the car, I want to set it on the side view (again no craddle and even if i put it upside down, it will be hard to maintain its balance)

my phone is not locked, it's a qtek s100 with Windows 2003 SE, i can install all the .cab i want without problems, but not KeylockFR.cab "not a Windows CE compatible application" (I try KeylockEN.cab too but no succes)

This is quite normal...this program is a program for smartphones with WM2003, not for Pocket PCs. Sorry!

Hmm, maybe this is another weird request, but is it possibble to change the screensaver background or text ? (Dark Red with white text, Dark Blue, or maybe White Background with Silver Text) I realized this might drain the battery, but then is just the cool factor ... or maybe to use other fonts ?

If you use xBar 2.6, you have to update to the newest version or downgrade to xBar 2.5. Otherwise, I have no real idea...

The problem is xbar with Automatic key lock.. i think that the problem of balaan is the same that I have. I need xbar but also Automatic KL. Do you have you a solution? :cry:

Did you uninstall 2.6 first? I have 2.5 running together with my keylocker here and everything is running fine...

At least it works with WM5 (as you can read earlier in this thread), and I have got information that it also works on a QVGA WM2003 device (SDA II)...so I guess it should work on the SP5m, too

First update. It installs fine and also lookes very wel on my QVGA screen. I can't use it though...

"Error creating keyboard hook. Program is closed (5)"

My guess it has something to do with tighter security settings in WM5. My phone is application unlocked but this hook can not be created.

Read my post on Page 26.. I had the same issue.. You need to app unlock your phone for this app to work..

Edit: First experiences, a few remarks:

When receiving a message, the screensaver updates. When the messages have been read, the screensaver still shows there are messages.
When a phonecall is missed, the screensaver doesn't update at all.
This might be because of the way Windows Mobile 5 handles calls and messages different.

I hope this isn't mentioned in this thread before, otherwise slap me.

I also have the same problems you reported with WM5. The messages don't bother me much, but the missed calls bother me a lot, as I have to check my phone every once in a while to make sure I didn't miss any call!!!

It seems the program is looking at my sent items folder instead of the inbox. Today I got a notification for 3 messages, the only map with 3 messages was my sent items folder.

I have an i-Mate sp3 with with win mobile 2003 (upgrade to last version rom 2.4.33.11) and the problem is now present before upgrade the program work fine

The download link on the first page of this thread takes you to maniac's homepage. There are 2 links to click on - 'Deutsch' and 'English' (Although it's spelt 'Englisch'). Click on the english one!

I will certainly add WM5 support to the screen saver. The display of unread messages and missed calls will be much better than as the OS provides this data. But at the moment I do not have Visual Studio 2005 yet so I need a bit of time to add WM5 support.


The program looks in every folder for new messages...so this behaviour is quite normal. This will be better when I have WM5 support ready (see above)

I have something new for you: I have attached a beta version of Keylock v3 for WM5
Please have a look at it - it should now show the real unread messages and missed calls count.

What I also have implemented is proper internationalization. At the moment English, French and German are supported. But I need your help here: If your phones language is not set to any of these three, at the moment the program won't work correctly. Therefore I have attached two translation templates (one for the keylocker, one for the config tool). If anyone of you has some spare time and uses a language with is not English, French or German, please translate the strings inside these files from English to your language and post the new files into this thread. I will then build a language DLL for your language. The translation of the keylocker strings is neccessary, the translation of the config tool would be a nice bonus
The new internationalization applies to the WM2K3 version as well.

EDIT: What I also need for every translation is the translation of the start menu link ("Automatic Keylock").

What I also have changed:
- Information from CPS (CellProfileSwitcher), if installed, can now be optionally shown
- You no longer need to security unlock you phone with SDA_ApplicationUnlock.exe

Hi maniac103. Attached the first draft of the Dutch translation to this message. Please convert them to the .mui format you use within keylock so I can try them and modify them where needed.

The program is running fine on WM5. Messages and calls show up correctly in the screensaver and are reset when viewed. Thanks.

I had to shorten some of the strings so they fit onto the screen. Please tell me if this is ok.
How can we shorten the translation of "Show frame if unlocked" a bit? Perhaps "Frame indien gedeblok."?

And please note: The strings IDS_CAP_QUICKLIST_TITLE and IDS_CAP_UNLOCK_TITLE in the keylock translation must match the corresponding window titles. IDS_CAP_QUICKLIST_TITLE is the title of the window appearing after a short press of the power button. In the dutch case, this is "Snelmenu" instead of "Snellijst" (Or did they change this in WM5? This would be horrible...) The same for IDS_CAP_UNLOCK_TITLE: This is the title of the "Unlock" window which appears after pressing the left softkey with locked keypad. On my 2K3 phone, this is "Ontgrendelen" instead of "Deblokkeer".

The proposed modifications are most likely correct and I will check them. This was a first draft knowing some strings needed to be shortened. I load the translation on my phone and go over te various dialogs and strings and modify (or propose modification) where needed. Seems you know your word of Dutch too

You put the two files in the zip file into the program install directory. After a restart, these files should be used.

Yes I did. I reinstalled Keylock today since there were two registered in the software remove option. Did a clean install with the most recent version and copied both files into the program directory. Still it remains the English language.

Please try the attached cab file. I also have signed the resource DLLs and have included the dutch translation into the installation.
Other than that, I don't really know what's goning on on your phone. I will play around a bit with the WM5 emulator and see if I find out something.

EDIT: The only language in the WM5 emulator is English, so I can't test it there. On my SDA, the language of the config tool is switched correctly if I set the language to dutch. When testing this, I have found a translation bug

I see some minor inconsistancies and one translation fails. In the profiles the title $$WHENCHARGING doesn't show the translation. Can you attach the by you modified tranlations textfiles so I can finalize them?

I have included your localization fixes. I have changed only one thing: I have localized "Automatic Keylock" into Dutch (as it is not a real "name").

I don't think you included the latest translations since I don't see the mocifications I made. I wanted to inform you about my renaming it back to an English title. I believe an English title looks better than a shortened Dutch title. The Dutch are pretty international so an English title wouldn't harm. But that's my 2 cents

Nice work but one problem - if I set "Show CPS info" in the Screensaver menu, the screensaver always says "CPS: Not running" even when it is.
Oh yeah and another very minor thing - in the Special Profiles menu, then "When charging...", "..enable Blutooth" now shows as "$..enable Bluetooth" Told you it was minor!

Looks like a great app, more featured than the autokeylock I was using before.

When trying to dl the version for WM2k3, I get a corrupted file. Winzip says the CAB file is corrupt or incomplete. When the download is finished, the filesize is 785 bytes.

Is this right? Is there a problem with the version on your web page?
