They appeared, disappeared, and now they're BACK to stay!

iMate have released the much anticipated AKU2 updates for their SP5 / SP5m HTC Tornado based devices.

You can grab them from the Club iMate Web or FTP sites.

Enjoy... now we await only the JAMin update from iMate!

There are 2 English versions, both with slightly different version numbers!

Which one do we use?

I believe the NRE is the one to use if you want UK English.

I'm flashing it now, so will confirm shortly.

Which one is the NRE version? I downloaded the one at the top of the list.

Will both versions display E for Edge?

Confirmed: downloading the NRE version will give you UK English (only US English in the WWE version).

Yup. It works brilliantly.

I wonder if when wifi is enabled and the phone is 'sleeping' if it uses wifi to dialup for email polling or if it still uses GPRS.

Er, on the FTP, it's the one with NRE in the filename, and on the website it's the bottom of the 3 updates.

Interestingly that 'naughty unlock solution' seems to work on this update, unlock on the C600.
