Any SMS scheduler that wroks on Kaiser? Free or commercial.
I heard about RJV SMS Scheduler but that's good?
jjimenezjj
Wow, looks juicy!! tongue.gif

Quick question though, how do install .cab(s)? With my kaiser (once I get it), do I just come to this forum and click on the files? Im guessing I will be manually placing these files to important folders on my device?

Thanks in advance!

John J:)
Paul
Copy them on to the device and run them smile.gif

Smartskey? (or is it incompatible/unnecessary for WM6?).

Paul, any other apps for T9? Because what you suggested doesn't work on tytn II.

Paul, the "music" tab that you have of your Kaiser is really neat. Is there a way to put a "news" tab for a RSS Reader?

Weather and news right on the homepage would make life eaiser! All I would need then is for the Kaiser to brew me fresh cup of coffee too... tongue.gif

Smartskey? For the purpose of one-handed usage. I couldn't live with my XDA Mini without smartskey - being able to close apps, access the start menu and scroll within apps using one hand is great. But I've not played with WM6 so don't know whether it's relevant or if MS have fixed it so you can actually use the device one-handed.

any geotagging software suggestion for p4550?
Webreaper
Oh, this one's useful too, to allow you to list your contacts as First, Last (i.e., "John Smith", rather than "Smith, John").

Does it really work?

Is there any good tool to enable "switching between applications" that can be mapped to a hardware button?

Somekind like the "ALT-TAB" function in Windows desktop.

Spb Pocket Plus has it. It is really nice, when you switch app, it display the icon (so, it is not like a listbox gui).

But yeah, I dont want to install Pocket Plus smile.gif

i can't find the remote desktop client in the kaiser and the help is mentioned it but in programs i cannot find it. Any idea because it's important for me.

Great list, thanks.

Can someone add a link to the cab file of skype (which version is it, does it work properly)? Since the Tytn II is not listed as part of the HTC devices, I tend to turn in circles trying to locate the correct file.

Vito ButtonMapper is a good extension of the standard tool and includes a task switcher similar to that in PocketPlus.

This one should work: Skype
J273
Is there another link for the 'NODATA' app?

the above link seems dead for me.

Thanks
Magxs
Just tried it. Works for me. Alternatively, you can just go to the Skype website and download the app for Hermes. Look for the Dopod 838 Pro/CHT 9000.

What do you mean by NODATA app?
J273
Paul's Nodata app

; -- you can disable GPRS connections .etc
J273
hmmm i got it to work now copy and pasting the link....wouldnt work direct with firefox for me though.

All sorted now though.

hello everyone and to the hex and rom editing people...

Is there a way to add a cab file that will activate the gps to tag the location of the photo being taken by the camera of TYTN II?

Paul had mentioned before that its just a quick job.... I just miss this function so much from my old ipaq hw6915... as we go on holiday a lot and its nice to take the pictures with gps position in the jpeg file ready to upload and be seen in google earth...

please..... please.....
Paul
Either a custom app will need to be written, or someone will need to try the camera app from another device (does the Athena have it?)

It will automaticaly scan an area and then connect you where ever it can

Paul
Doesn't count in the FREE apps thread then I'd say biggrin.gif

Paul
Added Yahoo! Go, mapping works great with the Kaiser GPS, and an all round nifty app. You can subscribe to the MoDaCo news RSS in it too biggrin.gif

CAB download from http://www.modaco.com/downloads-file2396.html, or point your device at http://GO.MoDaCo.com smile.gif

Paul, how about an application to do some clean up?

For example:
- Cleaning up registry
- Cleaning up bad shortcut
- Cleaning up bad installation
- etc.

Is there any freeware for this?

I know there are several commercial applications for this. Which one is the best for Kaiser (WinMo 6 Pro) ???

IMHO the best commercial app is DinarSoft's MemMaid -- they just released a new version about a month ago.

I use SKTools, IMHO the best out there. Not free tho!

Paul,

How about a really small tiny utility to "cleanup connection". Basically it will do this :

With ONE SINGLE tab :

- Stop all programs except

- Stop all data connection <3G/HSDPS/Wi-Fi/etc.>

Currently, we have to "close all" and then "disconnect", a lot of tabbing smile.gif

Hi All,

Yep. Works reasonably well over a GPRS connection too - even a non EDGE/3G one! smile.gif

For totally retentive device cleanup, use BOTH MemMaid and SKTools. Each will find some things that the other has missed. smile.gif

Dennis,

It's been there all the time - although hidden....

Courtesy of travegliaesogno over at xda-devs. it goes like this:
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\Camera\P9 and change the value "enabled" from 0 to 1

You will then have a new photo mode in the camera called GPS Photo.

Cheers,
Søren

The remote desktop app that was uploaded works great! Only thing is, is there a way of getting it to fit the remote desktop to the phone screen rather than keeping it at a higher resolution and having to scroll around...?
